Easy watercolor tutorial: 4 easy-to-paint card ideas for Valentine's Day 💕

I share in this article 4 ideas of easy to paint cards for Valentine's Day; I made some quick videos to show you the process, I think it's the most convenient to watch while making your cards at home 👀

watercolor hearts

Map 1

Material :

  • Watercolor or cardboard paper, 210 gr minimum thickness, 10 x 15 cm (or the size of your choice).
  • Brush
  • Watercolor colors of your choice
  • Repositionable tape
  • Masking liquid

Process :

Apply repositionable tape around the edge of the sheet to define a white boundary around the drawing.

Trace your design with masking fluid. I made a drawing that came to me at the time but if you don't feel inspired just draw hearts.

Soak the brush in the color of your choice and draw a first strip, continue with other colors until you have filled the sheet.

Let it dry

Remove masking fluid and repositionable tape.

And here is your pretty card

Map 2

Material :

  • Watercolor or cardboard paper, 210 gr minimum thickness, 10 x 15 cm (or the size of your choice).
  • Brush
  • Watercolor colors of your choice
  • Roll of toilet paper
  • Scissors

Process :

Cut a strip of toilet paper roll about 1 cm.

Form a heart with the strip you cut out.

Soak the strip in the paint of your choice.

Print the hearts on the sheet.

Wet the brush with paint and fill in the inside of the hearts.

Let it dry...And presto! The second card is ready!

Card 3

Material :

  • Watercolor or cardboard paper, 210 gr minimum thickness, 10 x 15 cm (or the size of your choice).
  • Brush
  • Watercolor colors of your choice
  • Heart shaped cookie mold

Process :

Place the mold on the paper and keep it pressed.

Paint the inside of the mold with the color of your choice.

Remove the mold, being careful that the paint does not smudge on the sides

Let it dry and repeat as many times as you want 💗 💗 💗

Map 4

Material :

  • Watercolor or cardboard paper, 210 gr minimum thickness, 10 x 15 cm (or the size of your choice).
  • Brush
  • Watercolor colors of your choice
  • Repositionable tape
  • White wax crayon (that of your children 😉 )

Process :

Apply it repositionable tape on the outline of the sheet to define a white border around the drawing.

Trace hearts with chalk.

Color the sheet with the colors of your choice

Let dry.

Remove the repositionable tape and offer your pretty card to your Valentine 💝
